  • Refurbishment of Play Area on the Green

Work has commenced on the planned refurbishment of the play area on Histon Green.  The play area will be closed until the official opening on Sunday 1 July

The project group have been working hard on the plans since January 2011 and have consulted widely during that time.  As a result the decision was made to retain the existing much-loved slide but to introduce a range of exciting new equipment, including an area for toddlers.  We have been very fortunate to receive grant funding from WREN and also Histon & Impington Feast Committee, which together with the Parish Council budget has enabled a quality and imaginative design to be taken forward

We look forward to seeing the equipment giving pleasure to future generations of children in our villages
