Dear Friends,

What star will you be following this Christmas?

It is hard to believe that Christmas is upon us again, the shops are getting busy and children are getting excited.

But this Christmas let us take some moments to think about which star you will be following this Christmas. Is it to find out which star will be crowned the King or Queen of the jungle, is it a latest movie star or will it be the Pop stars that gets the number one spot this Christmas?

Christians will be looking to a star who often gets forgotten at Christmas. The star that Christmas is all about, Jesus Christ. This star is not short lived; it does not fade once the limelight has gone, although many people will close their eyes to this star so they themselves do not get a clear view.

This Christmas as a church we want to guide people to the real star of Christmas and our prayers and hopes for this festive season should be that many people will see the true star of Christmas and will open their eyes to the star and allow the wonderful light of Jesus Christ to guide them in their own lives. In the Bible (John 8:12), Jesus said He was the light of the world so may this Christmas be a time when His light shines brightly into the hearts of many.

Paul and I wish you a Happy Christmas and may the meaning of Christmas be very true to you.

May God bless you.
