Dear Friends, For those who use the UCB ‘The Word for Today’ daily reading book, you may have read on 25th April “the heart reflects the person…” Proverbs 27: 19. It looked at how each of us are unique, and asked if we each instinctively care more about certain things than others? This intrigued me, as the question we have been looking at in the prayer room is ‘What’s your Passion?’ People have written that their passion is they want God to use them and others have prayed that God will use their passion. One of the passions that is seen over and over again is to see our church grow. At the beginning of the year many people in our church signed their name to a brick saying they wanted to be part of the vision in seeing our church grow to 50 people by the end of 2005. Since then we have already seen God add to our number! However, we have to remember that when we signed our brick it did not stop there. That was in fact just the beginning for we had become part of the vision, committed to fulfilling the vision. We had said in one sense that God could use our passions to help our church to grow. Paul and I believe that we will reach our target of fifty if people get passionate about prayer. To that end, the Prayer Room is set aside a room to use as a quiet sanctuary with aids to help us to pray. Maybe it daunts you to come and pray for an hour, if so come on a prayer day and just start with five minutes and build the time up gradually. There are many resources in the room to help you fill the time you spend there and allow God to help you to grow in your passion for prayer. May God bless you, Louise Wood Captain
