Dear Friends, This month sees our church hold an Annual Meeting Its purpose is to share together the developments and progress made since the Health Clinic last year when everyone was invited to have their say in the life of the church. The meeting is an opportunity to present the plans for the coming year so that we move forward together under God’s guidance in making the vision closer to becoming a reality. Ultimately, everything we are and everything we do must come from what we believe the church is truly here for. Jesus said in Luke 19:10, “The Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.” It is my firm belief that the church exists to share the love of God and reach out to win new people for Christ and to help those already Christians to grow in their relationship with the Lord. That is what we mean by evangelism and nurture. Out of this, also comes the desire of the church to serve the needs of the people of this community as best as we are able. Peoples lives are at stake and let this be at the forefront of our minds in all we do. If it is, then the day to day nitty gritty things of life will not bog us down as we remain united together in following God and the vision of this church. It has to be our overriding desire for new people to come to Christ and for all of us to grow as Christians. Let this desire become one that is fervent in our lives, let it drive us to our knees in prayer at all hours of the day or night that we might be all we can be for God in fulfilling the vision and purposes of this church. All of us matter to the vision because all of us are part of the vision. Without you, we are less effective than what God intends us to be. With you on board, we are well on the way to becoming all that God has in store for this church. It’s not the just the officers, or those in other leadership positions that count; everyone counts when it comes to the vision. Thank you for who you are and all that you do for the church. If you don’t feel you are involved, have a think about what you can do or have a chat with us but remember that you do count! May God bless you. Paul Wood Captain
